PhD Position − Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in macromolecular synthetic chemistry to join our multi-national and transcontinental research team (http://www.macroarc.org) based in Brisbane, Australia, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) to undertake her/his PhD (3 years) in a joint PhD project with the team of Prof. Andreas Walther at Freiburg University (https://www.walther-group.com) for advanced reprogrammable material design.


The successful applicant will be based in the School of Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering (https://www.qut.edu.au/science-engineering/our-schools/school-of-chemistry-physics-and-mechanical-engineering) at QUT as well as spend time in the group of Prof. Andreas Walther. If desired, a cotutelle program (joint PhD between QUT and Freiburg University) can be established.

The applicant must be eligible to enrol in a PhD at the Queensland University of Technology (https://www.qut.edu.au/study/courses/doctor-of-philosophy/doctor-of-philosophy-science-engineering). The Scholarship is indexed annually (starting at AU$27,171 per annum). The scholarship is tax exempt for full-time students. International students will receive an accompanying QUT Higher Degree Research Tuition Fee Sponsorship. An excellent level of English is essential.
